Once they have passed through this stage they will need help in learning to balance on a bicycle. A parent, caregiver or older sibling can help in this learning stage. When they’ve mastered the bicycle it will become their first real taste of independence as they can now go places by themselves, whether it’s to a friends, to school, or to a sports event.
